Pufferfish contain tetrodotoxin, a substance that makes them foul tasting and often lethal to fish. To humans, tetrodotoxin is deadly, up to 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There is enough toxin in one pufferfish to kill 30 adult humans, and there is no known antidote.

In the year 2004 Aquamarine Divers was established on the beautiful island of Phuket. The two sole owners Arraya and husband Philippe designed and built Thailand's most luxury live aboard boat M.V Philkade that has brought happy memories to many customers over the years.
With the scuba diving business growing and more and more people wanting to dive exciting places like the Similans and Surin island the excellent reputation of M.V Philkade grew worldwide even reaching the National Geographic scene who along with New England aquarium chartered the boat for a post tsunami survey.
Also In the year 2005 Aquamarine Divers expanded the diving adventure by being one of the very few boats to explore the undiscovered waters of Burma, finding and naming new dive sites for customers around the world to safely dive.
With their reputation growing ever-bigger Aquamarine Divers announced their break through into Indonesian waters, expanding once more the diving destinations on offer to their worldwide customer base.
Lastly in the year 2007 Aquamarine Divers announced that they are expanding into a different market segment offering diving day trips on board their new luxury day boat Atitara as well as developing their training center.
With heavy investment into a new boat, extended training facility and the recruitment of a professional international diving team, Aquamarine Divers will be keeping up the world-class service for its existing and future customers.
From day one Aquamarine Divers has pioneered a new concept in the diving industry in Thailand, wonderful diving in comfort, style and safety. It is in the same spirit that Aquamarine Divers is now expanding its activities to diving day trips and training focus.
