Similan Burma Itinerary C : 9 Days / 10 Nights on board

This is possibly the ultimate dive itinerary in this part of the globe! Over 9 days you will get the best of both Thai and Burmese diving on the finest liveaboard boat in the area. The best of both worlds!

We’ll dive all the best sites in the Similan Islands as well as Richelieu Rock over 4 days before checking out of Thailand and into Burma. After check in, we then cruise into the Mergui Archipelago overnight. The trip then continues with 4 glorious days of diving in the middle of nowhere! We will then check back into Thailand and cruise south via Richelieu Rock, Ko Tachai and Ko Bon, an awesome way to end any dive trip!!

On the Thai side the diving is very well documented with hard coral reefs, soft coral covered pinnacles, and large boulder sites. All these are layered with Snapper, Goat Fish, Grouper, Green and Hawksbill Turtles, Anthea, and Damsel Fish with the chance of Leopard Shark, Great Barracuda, and Manta Rays (but only for the lucky ones!!). Though the reefs and general marine life are very similar in Burma, things are, as they say in Thailand, 'same same but different'. Through 2007-08, there were Sea Horses, Sea Grass Ghost Pipe Fish, unusual Nudibranchs, Grey Reef Sharks, Whale Sharks, Mantas, and Eagle Rays in Burma. All this, and you will almost always have each dive site to yourself!

We encourage all our guests to visit the islands whenever possible between dives (either by tender or kayak) so that you can experience what the Similan Islands and Mergui Archipelago have to offer above, as well as below the water. You could lounge on the beaches of Ko Miang, Ko Tachai, or Clara Island or stretch your legs to the view points overlooking Honeymoon Bay and Ao Guerk in the Similans or stroll around McCleod Island.

Transfer the guests who participate only Similan part back to Phuket or to local hotel in Ranong. C2 Schedule: Boarding the guests who participate only Burma part. Check-in, orientation, boat & crew introduction. Check out of immigration in Ranong (Thailand) and check in immigration in Kaw Thaung (Burma) Dinner while making way north into the Mergui Archipelago
