Often done as check out dive, this is a fantastic intro to the Similans. On the opposite side of Island 5 from Hideaway, you will almost always drop in a shallow, sheltered coral garden to get used to being in the water again. Even here though there is plenty to see with Octopus, Forsters Barracuda, Big Eye Snapper and the like flitting between the large hard coral heads. This is also a great place for snorkelers. The sloping reef is a mix of Staghorn Corals and sand that is teeming with life. Look out in particular for schools Goat Fish and Butterfly Fish, Clear Fin Lion Fish, Spotted Garden Eels, Western Clown Fish, Kuhl's Rays, Razor Fish, and the unusual Peacock Flounder. The highlight of the site though is a coral pinnacle, 'Hin Muan Daew', rising from 23m to 10m that is coated with Hemprich's Soft Coral and Gorgonian Sea Fans. Macro lovers can see Ribbon Eels, Nudibranchs, Long Nose Hawk Fish, and Porcelain Anemone Crabs if they are lucky AND have good eyes. At the southernmost end of the island boulders drop down from the surface to around 40m and here you can see Clown Trigger Fish, Neon Fusilier, and sometimes Dogtooth Tuna.
